Carrie Ragan McCarty felt the fire of dance in her heart from a very young age and pursued it for most of her life. She earned her bachelors degree in secondary education with an emphasis in health and a minor in dance from Idaho State University. She led her high school teams to three National titles and co-founded a local middle school dance team. She has also taught at various studios and opened her Eagle Rock Dance in 2004, where it has grown to win several awards, including national titles, several Studio Sweepstakes award, and several judges choice and specialty awards. She co-directed the OnStage Dance Classic and Ultimate Soloist Challenge Dance Competitions for 9 years. Carrie was the producer for the Idaho Falls Youth Arts Centre “Evening of Dance” for 4 years and filled the capacity of choreographer for IFYAC productions. She served as the co-director and co-founder of a professional adult dance company from 2010-2013, Mayhem Dance Productions, and was the choreographer for the Miss Idaho Falls pageant in 2011 and 2012 and the Miss Idaho pageant in 2016. She currently serves on the nonprofit organizations Ammon Arts Council and Idaho Performing Dance Arts. She is the mother of four children and continues to pursue dancing opportunities and incorporating the joy of movement in dance on a daily basis.
