Madissen’s love for ballet began at the age of 6 when she began taking lessons. She grew up in Sacramento, California where she trained primarily with Marguerite Phares, Barbara Crockett, Alyson Deane and Shirin Keyani-Rose. She attended Natomas Charter’s Performing and Fine Arts Academy where she took dance classes as her high school electives. Madissen attended and received scholarships for summer intensives at Sacramento Ballet, Orlando Ballet and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet. Upon graduating high school, Madissen began teaching right away in Sacramento and a year later, moved with her family to Rexburg, Idaho where she began teaching for the Upper Valley Ballet School. She joined The Dance Collaborative in 2009 and was with the company for a total of 7 seasons. Madissen is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and currently teaches in several studios throughout the East Idaho area. She currently resides in Rexburg with her husband and beautiful 3 year old daughter.
